Ciao! A dude from Germany...

Ciao a tutti!

my name is David, 25 years young and I'm from Germany - so what the hell am I doing here? I'll tell you...

I'm a masters student and it's quite certain that I'm going to be in Correggio (Emilia Romagna) for an internship from October on. The internship is going to take 6 months. I love mountain biking and I'm planning to take my MTB with me. And this is why I opened an account here :)

I'm looking for some mountain bikers to ride together. It's hard to find any information about trails and tours in this area on the internet without italian language skills (I just startet learning the language...). Furthermore it's always easier and more fun to ride with locals and get to know other people who share the same hobby.

Does anyone reading this life around Correggio and can help me out a litte bit?
Maybe someone of you guys know whether there's a mountain bike club or mountain bike community in Correggio? Unfortunately I couldn't find anything online...

On this forum I already found the "regioni" forums which I'm going to follow a bit but it'll be great if someone helps me out here.

hello dude. here we are. when you move to correggio us know. no problem doing bike rides on our Apennines. always biking. best fat bike. canyon dude to serve you.

During autumn and winter our trails are 95% off limit due to the clay ground and/or snow and ice, depending on elevation.
It's very difficult to find rideable trails nearby the area of Correggio.

Nope, I don't have a Canyon Dude, sorry for the misleading ;-)

I ride a Canyon Nerve AL from 2014.

Well it's nice to hear that some people are riding in this area. I hope in October/November it's still possible to ride there? During the time I will be around in Correggio I will have a car. Since I heard a lot about lake garda to ride I'm planning to go there a few times.

I'm going to be there from the beginning of October and I try to bring my bike from the very beginning. So as soon as I'm ready to go MTB, I will let you know - thanks for the offer :)

Hey guys!

So now it finally happened. After some negotiations I started my internship with two weeks delay. Since Tuesday I'm in Italy :) but I don't live in Correggio, I got an apartment in Carpi...I got this information just on Monday xD

Since I moved from place to place I couldn't go biking for 3 weeks. Though I'm not in the best shape I would really like to go mountain biking and enjoy the nice wheather here as long as possible.

So if someone is in the mood to ride a little and show me some trails or nice tours I would be really happy...
When I was walking a little through Carpi I already saw a guy on a lefty rollin by...he was dressed like going on a tour :)

Since I'm also interested in meeting new people here to get to know the town and region better , just leave a shout here ;)

hello dude . I lived in carpi . Saturday we go in Romagna . forests. If you feel like biking and come with us . somewhere in the car we find some . We sleep outside to ride on Sundays . Hello

Hello, as someone here said our area in winter isnt so good cause of clay ground.
If you want we usually move to other better areas, we have cars with bike carriers, on saturday or sunday we usually go out eberytime in a new place.
Maybe if you are a student we have the same age or quite so, im 23.
We practice enduro-all mountain, if you want to join us contact me on PM and i left you my phone.
