HI Michele,
OK, so we’ve come up with a fantastic and very adventurous itinerary for you. All the accommodation is in tea houses or with families. Part of the route is up the Tsum valley (Day 4-5-6-7) which was ridden for the first time by mountain bike just a few years ago! Here is a video from this region: Tsum Valley - Mountain Bike on Vimeo . This route, especially on the Manaslu Circuit is going to be very challenging at times (hike-a-bike/walking) but the rideable sections are so good it makes up for everything!
This route is a combination of Manaslu circuit, Tsum Valley (a side valley to the Manaslu circuit) and Annapurna round.
Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu
Day 2 Drive to Arughat, Ride to Soti Khola
Day 3 Ride to Jagat
Day 4 Ride to Chumling (Tsum Valley Start)
Day 5 Ride to Chhule
Day 6 Ride to Mu Gompa and back to Chumling
Day 7 Ride to Deng (Out of Tsum)
Day 8 Ride to Lho
Day 9 Ride to Samdo
Day 10 Ride to Bimtang
Day 11 Ride to Baggachhap (On the Annapurna Circuit)
Day 12 Ride to Pisang or Manang
Day 13 Ride to or stay in Manang
Day 14 Ride to Thorung Phedi
Day 15 Ride to Muktinath
Day 16 Ride to KaloPani
Day 17 Ride to Beni, drive to Pokhara
Day 18 Relax in Pokhara
Day 19 Drive to Kathmandu
Day 20 Depart
Cost
8 pax: USD $2295 per person
This includes all accommodation, all meals, guides, transportation and porters.
Another option if you have more time is to ride the Annapurna circuit then from Muktinath temple go across Gyu La pass and into the Upper Mustang. This trip is a little longer and a little more expensive due to the permit costs for Upper Mustang and domestic flights.
Let me know what you think and if you have any questions.

Hi Michele,
I really do think that your group will enjoy this itinerary - especially the Manaslu circult and Tsum Valley that have barely been ridden by mountain bikes! This is definitely an epic trip!!
This is from our guides in Nepal, from your questions:
I would say 6-7 hrs of riding most days with two pass crossings being longer! Descents, and in fact most of the trails are singletrack, so beside a few days on jeep trails (1 in the beginning and a couple on the Annapurna circuit) it really is a singletrack, hike-a-bike and amazing riding.
Highest point is Thorong La pass at 5417 m http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorong_La is the highest point on the ride.
There are NO porters on this ride as they wouldn’t really be able to keep up to bikes on some of the longer days, so riders need to carry their own pack (as light as possible). This is the only way to do it - pack light! You will have a baggage swap (get fresh clothes etc.) when you hit the Annapurna Circuit after coming down from the Manaslu circuit, so you can get fresh clothes and maybe some more trail snacks etc.
I hope that this answers your questions. Let me know if you have any other questions.
For us, it is best to confirm your trip sooner than later so that we can confirm the guide for your group and make reservations. To do this, we require that every participant fill out our booking summary https://secured.com/~f3374/ and provide $550 CAD (Canadian Dollars) per person as a deposit. The balance on the trip is due approximately 90 days before departure.
Chat soon Michele! Happy Easter to you and your family.
Regards.
Chris Winter
