Trails close to Vicenza

Hi everybody

I am an exchange student here in Italy, I will be here for 10 months and I am now concidering getting my bike shipped down from my home in Norway. I live with a family in Caldogno near Vicenza.
Although if I am going to ship the bike down I want to know if it is any trails close to Vicenza and Caldogno, are there? I don't have access to a car so close is important.
Any of you guys doing mountainbiking around here?

One more question: Anybody know of any bicycle shops in Vicenza? I know there are one in Caldogno with mtb gear, but any in Vicenza?
