Volta Mantovana: Noleggio bici?

This summer I'm staying at an agriturismo 15 km south of Lago di Garda, near Volta Mantovana. While I'm there I'm planning to rent a bike. Are there places nearby where I can rent a good bicycle (road or MTB)?

2 years ago I stayed in Peschiera and rented a bike there, but it is easier if there are places closer to where I' staying.

Where did you rent the bike in Peschiera 2 years ago ?

I rented the bike at a place close to the railway station. I think it is called "Bauer". The person I rented from was a german who lived nearby. The bikes where not the best, but they had an old road bike that was ok.

Hi egils, i think the best thing you can do to rent a good bike mtb or road is to contact the paola pezzo'shop ("Olympic bike center" but with an easy web research you can find the correct name), i'm sure they rent good bikes in bardolino, but they opened a new shop in peschiera del garda a few week ago.
I live in desenzano so if you need some help contact me

The shop in Peschiera may be a good alternative. Could this be the shop that earlier was called Worldbike? I think I visited the shop the last time I was in Peschiera.

that's correct, the old shop was world bike.
Another shop could be "los locos bike shop" in Lazise a few km past peschiera and Gardaland. I'm sure they rent bikes mtb and road bikes, probably Giant bikes. The owner of this shop is Rasmussen and the two guy are Matteo and Paolo. www.loslocosbikeshop.com

Difficult choice: Paola Pezzo or Rasmussen? Or may be not... :)

I know of the Los Locos shop from my last trip to Lake Garda. I used to ride past it on my some of my morning rides.

At least I have a few alternatives, even if there is no rental in Volta Mantovana.

The lady I talked with confirmed that she got your message: she said she didn't have a chance to reply yet (I guess she will do it asap)

At any rate, she said that they don't have a real rental service, but finding a mtb or a road bike is not an issue
She just asked to be contacted more or less 1 week before your arrival to arrange everything

Another shop where you can rent a bike is in Colombare di Sirmione. The name of the shop is "Il Ciclista" and it is an official Giant dealer. I am sure they have bikes for rent but i dunno the prices.
