Che si rompano non lo so. Per un certo periodo avevo seguito Pivot per capire se alcune bici d'occasione avevano un loro perché. Per me ce l'avevano perché erano tra i pochi a proporre il DW link su full da XC.

Che si rompano è una battutaccia.
Io seguo più le trail e enduro bike e non hanno nulla di innovativo e anche le geometrie sempre un po' "vecchiotte".
Poi non discuto che siano rifinite bene e per questo ho dei feedback molto positivi.

Sulle pivot "commerciali" non mi esprimo, ma questa non è che non abbia proprio nulla di innovativo..
Telaio in tubi incollati , parti in alluminio ricavate dal pieno, sistema di trasmissione a rinvio alto e doppia catena... Cosa vuoi di più.. Un lucano...??

Se sai farlo non è un problema. In generale non sono un amante degli incollaggi, ma ci sono aerei che volano milioni di miglia basando la loro robustezza su incollaggi del genere. La tecnologia c'è, l'esperienza non manca, il problema è forse che non sono appannaggio di un piccolo costruttore di bici.

La tecnologia dei tubi congiunti per la realizzazione delle bici é dovuta ad un brevetto italiano della casa costruttrice ALAN, che però utilizzava una lega leggera di alluminio incollata e senza saldature.

Edit: sono andato a curiosare sul sito ALAN e ho appreso che la tecnologia della congiunzione dei tubi incollati é stata impiegata in seguito anche nella produzione di telai in carbonio.

After a preliminary investigation into the failure of the prototype frame, we have identified that there was no failure of the carbon tubes and the epoxy used to bond the frame was still intact on the carbon tube side. Unfortunately, virtually no adhesive remained bonded to the aluminum. We use a treatment on all the aluminum parts to protect from galvanic corrosion between the carbon and the aluminum. We believe there was a failure of this treatment to properly etch/adhere to the aluminum. We have additional frames that were made in the same batch, which we will be putting through full destructive testing as well as getting all the frames from the team back that were produced at the same time. Once we have the opportunity to test these prototype frames, we will take the necessary steps to ensure that the frames are as safe as possible, and ready for the full impact of another World Cup season. We never want to see a frame failure and certainly not a failure of this magnitude. We are incredibly thankful that Bernard was not seriously injured and are taking steps to make sure that this is not an issue in the future.
