Non c'e' un indirizzo mail a cui scrivere sul sito Cube... c'e' da compilare un form
http://www.cube.eu/en/service/contact/
Dear Sirs,
I have a bottom out problem on the rear suspension with my new Fritzz Pro 2011 purchased at Chainreactioncycles:
The air spring preload cannot be set properly:
if i set it with your suggested sag the "RP23 BV HV" reach the bottom even on very low hits
in order to avoid the bottom out, i must set the pressure around 15 Bar (that is your suggested pressure for a rider of 100kg... i'm only 75! and i don't jump 2 meters!) and this pressure is so high that the suspension work only on big hit
I have noticed that on my bike you installed an "RP23 BV HV" while on other Fritzz pro 2011 i saw the normal version "RP23 BV":
The HV (high volume) version have a bigger air chamber and its response is much more linear than the normal one (the normal one has a progressive response, start soft and become hard while reaching the bottom out), in my humble opinion this is the reason of my problem.
Why do you install 2 different shocks on the same bikes ? and how can i solve my problem and have a rear suspension properly working ?
Risposta di Cube:
Hello Marco,
thank you for your email. In this case we refer you to your CUBE dealer for checking the shocks at your bike. The dealer can help you out and if there is a case of claiming he will solve it together with CUBE.
Risposta mia:
Dear Mr. xxx
Thank you very much for the quick answer but ... my dealer is Chain Reaction Cycles in United Kingdom and I live in Rome Italy...
Any idea ?
Regards
A questa email del 17 novembre non ho avuto alcuna risposta quindi oggi ho scritto di nuovo a questo signore in Cube e in copia a CRC questa email:
Dear Sirs,
I have not heared any news from both you (Cube and or Chain reaction cycles).
I tryed to fix the problem using the Fox Air Spring Volume Tuning Kit:

Using the bigger reducer the problem is smaller but still present; with the reducer I increased the compression ratio from 2,5 (rp23 HV2) to 3. The normal rp 23 has a compression ratio of 3.9 thats why my problem is smaller but still present...
As I wrote, I live in italy and CRC is in UK, I have a new bike with a NON working rear suspension, I already spent 35Euro for the kit :

Can you please advice on how to solve this problem? In my humble opinion I would suggest you to send me a standard rp 23 air sleeve (not the entire shock, only the standard size air sleeve), this would be the best (and cheapest) solution!
Feel free to contact me for any clarification needed
Best regards
Marco
