Ciao da Seattle. Please excuse my total lack of Italian. Getting through the registration process was kinda fun using Google Translate.
My wife and I are trying to plan a trip to Italy in September of this year and I thought it would be fun to try and get in a day of mountain biking while we're there. Our plans are not set very well but we're hoping to visit the Florence region in addition to Rome and a few other cities. Doing internet searches, I learned a tiny bit about the Tuscany region and was happy to find that it has good singletrack in addition to many other things.
Looking for any riding suggestions around the Florence region. Probably won't have a car but am willing to do some short train travel if needed. I did find http://www.garfagnanaadventures.com/ but I've been told its a bit of travel to get up there (any feedback, good or bad, on Garfagnana Adventures?). Other guide companies, trail guidebooks, trail locations, places to rent equipment ... anything you can suggest is more than I've got right now.
Not much to go on, I know but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the length. Grazie e si spera che posso alzare di vetro di birra locale con alcuni di voi.
