Hello,
I am almost a forty year old REAL novice, in the sense that I have practically never done any sport, last year I bought a MTB aware of my poor physical condition and I started pedaling through the woods around my house ..... fatigue !!!
Here I read about "beginners" but who are already grinding miles like nothing, they descend from fear, climb steeply and technically know the bike in an excellent way.
I make exits of at most 1 1/2 hours then I'm dead, if the path is just uphill my legs are on fire, if the climb is a little heavier I go to the beats at 1000, the front wheel rears up, if I stop, I don't go any more ... not to mention the descent, going on foot would take half of the time, all braked and in any case never on too rough ground ...
In short, I realized that my biggest problem is the lack of training and technique, but there are some of you who at least when you started confined yourself to hiking on dirt roads in the middle of the fields, flat paths in the woods and small hills and that has improved over time, or are you all people who already come from some other sport and have just climbed a 1500m bike?
I have so much fun, I really like going for a ride, it's just that reading here and there ... I really feel like a bum!: - ((
